A new version of the software GeoStore 3.0 for creating and administrating archives of various formats of Exploration and Development Data was released.
Below are the modifications relative to this version of the software product.
SEGY Headers Modification
A function of SEGY Headers Modification was added. It permits one to modify the SEGY file headers in the following way:
- Record with different bytes order marking;
- Application of various mathematical operations;
- Type of the data written (INT2, INT4, UINT4, IEEE4, etc.).
The current file header may be modified, or the file with the modified header may be saved as a new one.
The number of input files and modifications is not limited.
The header preview is available.
Merging into Single SEGY File
The input data may be split into several SEGY files with successive data, related to one survey. When written to a drive in the SEGY format, merging of the data is performed into a single or several SEGY files.
Recording may take place from any kind of storage.
Data Recording to Robotic Tape Library
In order to record the data of a large size there is a functionality to record the data to a robotic tape library.
The process is arranged with the use of barcodes. The interaction is set once at the beginning of recording. Afterwards, all the recording, including the tapes replacement, takes place without the user involvement.
Version for Windows
The new version of the software product is supported by the OS Windows family, starting from Windows 7 and higher.
