GEOTOP
software is intended for processing and interpretation of petrophysical well log
data. The main goal of the application is to calculate reservoir formation
parameters.
Basic Principles
The set of applications are available for realizing procedures on interpreting well log data
Graphic interactive mode with on-line visualization of both raw and interpreted logs as well as all kind of geological information during the
workflow.
Multi-window graphic system with interconnected
windows. Any change in the information, while carrying out a particular action, reflects fully interactivity in all the windows containing this
information.
Adding user's applications without program developers'
intervention.

The processing is carried out either in point-by-point (streaming) or in layer-by-layer mode.
The processing is performed by intervals, taking into account various formation's parameters.
The software has especial data base structure. The server for data base access is available. A second daemon is available for data synchronization during the workflow.
Data loading
Loading logs data from external files in LAS or LIS
format.
Reading data from external files in ASCII
format.
Well data are loaded from the file header or from keyboard.
The data are combined into one MUX. Each MUX has a variable datum. The log data and geological data (such as tops, lithology, chronostratigraphy, core data etc.) can be presented as curves. The same principle is used to process all kinds of information. The logs haves a dictionary, which contains the list of available values (e.g. the list of lithologies)
Data Visualization
The main window open when the program starts. This window will remain opened during all the session.
During the workflow the data is displayed according to the selected layout. The user can define the contents of the layout. The layout is stored and displayed at any time during the workflow. Several windows can be open simultaneously. All the information in the opened windows are linked and automatically updated with the change of parameters . Particular applications have the possibility to run several times (e.g. cross-plot with different parameters).
The Main window is divided into various tracks. Each track contains different kind of information.
Scale for depth drawing. (Z ZTVD ZTIME ZTWT ZSEA)
Curve for log drawing.
Zone for interval values drawing (text), lithology, saturation etc. The pattern is defined by log values.
Marker for tops drawing tops
Grid (vertical and horizontal)
Fill for filling using different with various pattern.
Data output
The raw data and results are either plotted or saved.
They may be exported in LAS format.

Copy logs from one MUX into another one.
Merging curves from different MUXs into new MUX
